Lefas Olive Oil Review

Lefas Olive Oil Review

Lefas Olive Oil is not a popular brand in the USA. The company is based in Greece and is quite famous there.

As we know that Greeks are famous for making delicious food, and this olive oil also satisfies this claim to some extent. We’ll know more about it in a while.

First, have a look at the oil products of Lefas:

  • Lefas Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Lefas Pomace Olive Oil

This oil comes in glass bottles, and the large servings come in tin containers. You can purchase the oil in different formats, like 250 mL to 50 gallons drums.

Alright, let’s get to the main point. Everything that Lefas offers falls in the okay category. When we say everything, this includes its taste, texture, and flavor.

The taste of Lefas Olive Oil is quite average and light. It is unlike other olive oils, which have a sharp peppery taste. However, the flow properties are good, with enough consistency in the oil.

Just like that, when it comes to the texture properties of the oil, they also seem a little off.

The oil won’t produce smoke when you cook food marinated over the fire.

Besides, the color of the oil also gives satisfactory results. It ranges from dark yellow to green to light brown. You can also get a tint of dark green in a few of the products.

Overall, we were not that much impressed with this oil. It wasn’t very impressive in both taste and flavor. It seems that the company compromised on the quality to make the oil affordable.

Things we Liked

  • Acidity is below 0.5%
  • Affordable price range
  • Flow properties are great
  • Color is remarkable

Things We Didn’t Like

  • Taste is ordinary
  • You can’t use it for high-flame cooking

Plus, it’s affordable and versatile enough to use for cooking or dipping. However, the taste of the oil is not up to the mark, just like other olive oils.
