Below is a list of the most common problems with Hisense Fridges, along with their easy troubleshooting tips.

1. Fridge Making Loud Noise:

A loud noise coming from the fridge can be annoying to the owner and may even be unsafe if the noise is continuous.

It could be something as simple as the freezer door being stuck, or it could be a sign of a more serious problem.

The most common causes of a loud noise from a Hisense fridge are the coils and condenser fan motor. The first step in resolving the issue is to see if the coils have burned out.

To test for this, turn off the fridge and then turn it on. If the noise continues, check to see if the appliance has an electrical problem.

A faulty power supply could cause this problem, so make sure the power cord is plugged into an outlet.

2. Refrigerator Not Cooling:

If your Hisense fridge is not cooling, you will have to take a look at all the parts that might be causing this problem.

First, check whether or not the temperature gauge is working properly.

The best way to do this is to turn the fridge on and keep an eye on the temperature gauge. If the temperature never goes up, then the gauge is probably malfunctioning.

Too high of a temperature could cause the compressor to overheat, which could damage the motor and cause it to fail.

Another reason why the fridge may not be cooling could be the evaporator fan. If the fan isn’t functional, it might indicate a bigger issue.

The fan should always be working to ensure the refrigerator is cooling properly.

If the fan does not turn, you should get it checked out by a skilled expert right away.

3. Fridge Leaks Water:

Fridges are a great thing, but they are still made out of metals and they can get damaged.

A damaged Hisense fridge could be leaking water inside or outside of the unit.

If the leak is coming from inside, you will need to check the water lines for leaks and check the evaporator coil.

If the leak is coming from outside, then check the power source and make sure there are no exposed wires.

In case the pipe is leaking water, try to figure out where the leak is coming from before having it fixed.

It is important to note that the location of the leak will vary depending on which brand of Hisense fridge you own.

Water leaking from the fridge could indicate a serious issue with the compressor or the compressor could have burnt out.

To determine if water is leaking, open the door and place your finger inside. If water comes out, there could be a leak in the compressor or a leaky water valve.

If the leak is inside or outside the fridge, you should turn off the power and call Hisense for further assistance.

4. Not Stopping:

When a Hisense fridge does not stop, it means that the compressor has not stopped and it has not started again after being turned off. This could mean a few things.

The most common reason why the compressor will not stop is a blown fuse.

A blown fuse is usually caused by a short in the electrical circuit. If the fuse is blown, the circuit board will not work and the compressor will not stop. If this is the case, then you will need to replace the fuse.

Another possible reason why the compressor will not stop is a bad connection at the plug. If this is the case, the refrigerator will continue to operate indefinitely.

In case your fridge is still not turning on after trying the above methods, you will need to check whether or not the power switch is working.

If you find that it is, then you can call Hisense for further assistance.

5. Fridge Won’t Turn On:

When a Hisense fridge won’t turn on, it could mean that the power source is faulty. This could be a loose connection or an exposed wire.

But, if the problem persists, you will have to check the power source and make sure that it is plugged into the correct outlet. If the issue continues, the breaker box may be the source of the problem.

If your power source has burnt out and you can’t find the fuse box, it is important to make sure that you have called Hisense to come and check the power supply.

You should have someone come to fix the power supply because it could be an electrical issue.

Here are the following things that you will need to have checked out by a qualified technician:

  • The main breaker
  • Fuse Box
  • The power cord
  • The main control board

Conclusion: Hisense Fridge Problems

HISENSE Refrigerators are considered reliable appliances, but they can get damaged over time. If your refrigerator isn’t cooling properly, it might indicate a more serious issue.

If your fridge isn’t cooling at all, it could mean that your fridge has a problem with its compressor or its power supply.

And, if the compressor is not working, it could be a sign that the compressor is broken or it could be that there is a problem with the power supply.

To determine if your fridge is defective or not, you will need to call Hisense and let them know of the problem.

They will send someone to come and check out your fridge. If the problem is minor, then you will have to make arrangements to fix it yourself.

  1. I purchased a Hisense Hisense refrigerator French door model with the freezer on bottom at Lowe’s for $1500. Supposedly it was on sale from $2,000. Not long afterwards I noticed the left door was about a quarter of an inch lower than the right door I called and requested service to repair the door. It was the hinges. Not long after that I received a notice through the mail that said that the hinges were a manufactured defect. I’ve had to call another time for the same problem plus there are several other issues with that refrigerator. I am certainly glad that I bought the extended warranty through Lowe’s because I’m certainly needing it. Cool air comes out from under the left door. Frost is now building up inside the freezer and the hinge on the left door was never repaired correctly so even after the second repair it is still the same. The lights blinking on the inside top panel can be seen because there’s a opening between the right and left doors on top that you could stick your little finger in. This refrigerator is not a good product and I will never recommend this brand refrigerator or television. I purchased a TV through Walmart and I have issues with it also.
Wow! I have wasted money on these products. Stay away from Hisense brand.

    • Hello Pauline,

I hope you are doing great!
Whirring or scraping sounds coming from a frost-free refrigerator or freezer typically indicate that ice has accumulated around one of the fans. You’ll also notice that your refrigerator isn’t as chilly as it should be if this is the case.

  5. I purchased a Hisense fridge in 2019, with extended warranty. Last Sunday I noticed that the freezer is freezing but fridge was warm. I contacted comerco the warranty people and filled out a service request, 4 days later they emailed saying they are looking for a service provider in my area. It has been a week now with NO fridge I have lost many food items and wonder what I can do to get my fridge working and food replaced. This is crazy!!! What good is a warranty if you can’t get it fixed in a timely manner

  6. Hello We have just received a bar fridge /freezer today. We let it stand for over an hour to let it settle from transport (DHL) from Amazon. We plug it in, set the temp to 4 and waited. After a few hours we checked the temperature inside fridge/freezer. Nothing. the compressor is warm. The power source is 116 volt. I will reset and hopefully the fridge will work.
