Hisense fridge, not cooling problem occurs when the compressor becomes blocked and unable to cool the inside of the refrigerator. This problem is quite common with Hisense refrigerators because they are not popular for their reliability.
They may have a lifetime warranty but sometimes, the problem does occur beyond that.
If you think that your Hisense refrigerator is not cooling as it should, there are several troubleshooting tips that you can use.

Below are the most common problems of why your Hisense fridge won’t cool and easy troubleshooting tips to fix them.
1. Faulty Evaporator Fan Motor:
The evaporator fan motor in a Hisense refrigerator is a key component that is responsible for blowing cold air through the evaporator coils to cool down the refrigerator.
If the evaporator fan motor doesn’t work, it will reduce the airflow through the coils and cause a higher temperature inside the fridge.
There are many reasons why the evaporator fan motor could be damaged and the following are a few of them:
- The fan motor is defective
- The motor has become blocked and the coil area is full of ice
- The motor was not properly mounted and is not connected to the compressor shaft
- The fan motor was disconnected from the evaporator coil by mistake
To test whether the evaporator fan motor is working or not, open up the refrigerator and check if the fan is running.
If it is, you know your fridge is working fine. If the fan is not running, you need to replace the fan motor.
In case your fridge is still not cooling, check for blockages in the evaporator coils. A blockage in the coils will cause the coils to get hot.
2. A Broken Temperature Control Board:
Another common problem with Hisense refrigerators is that the temperature control board gets damaged and can’t adjust the temperature.
When this happens, the inside temperature will stay too high or low. A defective temperature control board is frequently the cause of the problem when the temperature is either cold or too hot.
To fix the temperature problem, it’s very important to replace the temperature control board.
3. The Compressor is Blocked:
The compressor is one of the most important components inside a refrigerator. It keeps the cold air in the refrigerator.
If the compressor becomes blocked, it will not be able to push out cold air to cool down the inside of the fridge.
The compressor will not work as it is supposed to, which will cause the fridge not to work.
4. Faulty Power Supply:
If you have a Hisense fridge and it doesn’t turn on, you might be having a faulty power supply.
A faulty connection in the power cable or a circuit breaker issue might be the source of this issue.
5. Dirty Evaporator Filter:
Faulty Power Supply: If you have a Hisense fridge and it doesn’t turn on, you might be having a faulty power supply.
This problem could be caused by a bad contact in the power cord or a problem with the circuit breaker.
6. Defective Or Weak Defrost Heater:
If your Hisense fridge defrosts badly or is not defrosting at all, then it is likely that there is a problem with the defrost heater.
The defrost heater is used to heat the inside of the refrigerator. It’s a small electric heater located near the coils in the freezer section of the refrigerator.
In case the defrost heater is working but it is not heating up, it is most likely due to a weak or defective defrost heater.
If the defrost heater is working and heating up, you can try to clean it using a damp cloth.
7. Too Much Freezer Air:
If you notice that the freezer section is not very cold and there is an icy buildup inside, it could be a problem with the airflow from the compressor. You should check the air vent in the back of the freezer.
Air can come into the freezer through the air vent. So, make sure there’s no ice or food debris blocking it.
There will be too much air coming into the freezer if the vent is obstructed. This could cause the freezer to freeze up.
Conclusion:
These were the most common reason why your Hisense fridge not cooling.
I hope after reading this guide you are now able to troubleshoot the problem yourself.
But, if you still don’t figure out an issue then I would recommend you to consult with a qualified repair company or you can ask Hisense to provide you with help.

Hi, please held me: my fridge is a double door ( model H730SS-WD). The fridge does not cool as the temperature control is displaying off instead of showing the temperature. Please help on how to switch it on.
Hello Xolani,
The issue is most likely either frost-clogged evaporator coils or a jammed or damaged evaporator fan if you can hear the compressor operating but the refrigerator isn’t cooling. When they begin to malfunction, evaporator fans often shriek or chirp.
Bottom not cool
