1. Dishwasher Won’t Drain:
Check the drain pump if your dishwasher is not draining. It should be located at the bottom front of the machine.
Simply remove the access panel and check the rubber gasket for wear. If it is worn away, replace it.
Be sure to use a new gasket whenever you replace the access panel.
Also, make sure the drain hose has not become disconnected and look for signs of rust or corrosion on the hose. This could indicate a possible leak.
Check for any obstruction in the drain line itself. Remember to clean the drain line before reinstalling the access panel.
This will clear the line of any food particles or other debris that may have become stuck.
Apart from drainage, another common issue is the Frigidaire Dishwasher not washing.
2. Water Leakage:
Your dishwasher can develop water leakage for several reasons. The most common reason is a cracked rubber O-ring.
These are the rings that seal the cabinet where your dishwasher sits. They can get brittle from age and use and start to leak.
Another possibility is a broken seam on the floor of the dishwasher itself.
And, if your dishwasher is older, it may develop a mechanical problem like a worn rubber belt or a broken gear. In this case, replace the part as soon as you discover it is worn.
3. Dishwasher Not Starting:
A dead battery is the most common reason your frigidaire dishwasher will not start.
Make sure your appliance’s batteries are installed and in excellent working order. If they’re old or weak, replace them.
But, even if the batteries are fine, you may have a problem with the electrical circuit that powers the dishwasher.
Check the electrical connection from the battery to the control board in this case. If it is loose or corroded, replace it.
4. Not Getting Water:
Your dishwasher could be spraying water but not getting it all. There can be several reasons for this.
The most common reason is a clogged drain line. But there are a couple of other possibilities:
It is possible that the hose that connects the dishwasher to the water source is old and damaged. Check it for cracks or holes. Replace it if necessary.
It is possible that you have a water leak in your home. Check your basement, the walls and ceilings of your house, and all outside water pipes. Look for signs of wetness or moisture. It may be hidden from plain sight.
5. Overheating:
This is an extremely rare problem. But, it can occur if the thermostat in your dishwasher is malfunctioning.
The thermostat controls the temperature within the machine dishwasher.
If it is not working properly, the dishwasher can get too hot. This can damage the washer and cause injury to anyone in the immediate area.
To check the temperature in your dishwasher, remove the access panel and look at the white digital display on the control board.
Make sure it is not getting excessively hot. If it is, replace the thermostat.
6. Dishwasher Making Loud Noise:
If your dishwasher is making an unusually loud noise, you should first check the door.
Make sure it is closed tightly, and there are no broken hinges. Also, double-check that the latch is in good working order.
If everything is OK with the door, then look closely at the front of the machine.
Is there anything unusual about the gaskets or seals around the door opening? If so, it could be a simple matter of replacing them.
7. Not Cleaning Dishes:
The most common dishwasher problem is not cleaning dishes.
This happens when something in the detergent or water prevents the chemical reaction necessary to clean the dishes.
The solution is to check the product label on the container of dishwashing detergent.
Make sure it contains “dishwasher safe” ingredients. And remember, do NOT use scented or “fragrance-free” products.
Fragrances prevent the chemicals in the product from reacting properly.
And, if your detergent is not labeled “dishwasher safe,” then you need to use a product made specifically for the dishwasher.

I’ve owned this Frigidaire dish washer for less than a year. There’s only 2 of us (not a large family with a heavy demand on the machine). Suddenly the control panel won’t operate, the lights all come on when it’s plugged in, then after about 15 seconds they all go out simultaneously and won’t come back on. Won’t do anything, no lights till it’s (unplugged &) plugged back in, then same thing. Very frustrating! LAST of anything I/we buy from this company- ever.

Lately I have found that each time I open and close the door, the rubber strip (to prevent leaking) which I replaced, comes out from the bottom.
It was replaced because one day, after a cycle of use I found the entire piece on the bottom of the unit. Being unsure initially what it was for, i hung onto the strip, but of course the next time I ran the dishwasher, it leaked….this is when it was replaced.
How can i secure this to stop this from happening. At this time it comes out almost half way, each time the door is opened, and is becoming an issue.
Thank you for your time and assistance
