In reply to richard suszek.

It sounds like the white streak you are describing is most likely a display issue with your TV. This type of issue is commonly caused by a problem with the TV's backlight or a problem with the display panel itself.

Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Check the TV's backlight settings: Make sure the backlight setting on your TV is not set too high, which can cause a bright white streak to appear. You can adjust this setting in the TV's menu.

Check for any physical damage: Check the TV's screen for any physical damage that may have caused the white streak. This could include cracks, scratches or pressure marks.

Check the connections: Make sure that all the cables and connections between the TV and the cable box are secure and that the cable box is working properly.

Check the firmware of your TV: Sometimes, the TV could have an outdated software that could cause this kind of malfunction. Therefore, checking for any firmware updates and updating if necessary.

Factory Reset: Sometimes the TV may need to reset, if you haven't try this, it could be a solution to the problem.

If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, it may be best to contact LG customer service or a professional TV repair technician for further assistance. The white streak could be an indication of a hardware malfunction that would require professional repair or replacement.

In reply to Steven Settles.

Mine turns off and on by itself too. We were told to turn off tv and unplug connection. Hold in the turn on button for the TV for 2 minutes wait one minute plug back in and wait till process is back. Then turn tv back on. We have done this but now it still keeps turning off and on. what else can we do?
