3 year old GE dishwasher washing with cold water and dry cycle not working. Dishes not getting clean. No warranty. Should the washer fill up with hot water or does the water heat once the dishwasher is filled? Thank you, Karen

my GE dishwasher is fairly new. 7 to 8 months old. Using it once a week. dishes are always rinsed before so no food products get loose in it. Even when I use the dry boost function it still has a damp almost sticky ( for lace of a better word) feel to them and I have to dry them again after removing it the next day after washing. like a condensation of sorts. some dishes are dry all the way but most are not (esp. in the rear area which Is where I place the plates. I have looked around for any damage but see none. I dont know how to check to see if dishes are hot when wash cycle is over as they are suppose to cool down before I open it. I may check sooner when I was my load this evening. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I do have the warranty. I dont understand about venting as most dishwashers are placed in a cabinet type form.
